The Truth on MLM - Network Marketing – HUMOR and SATIRE

1. Why does law enforcement fail to act against MLM fraud?  Read the "PARABLE OF THE MISSING CHILDREN," followed by comments directed towards persons wondering what they can do to inform people.

Another parable which could be symbolic of  the ludicrousness of many MLM/network marketing claims is "The Emperor's New Clothes," which Dean VanDruff quotes on his web site at - http://www.vandruff.com/mlm_emperor.html

2. After having obtained data suggesting a 99.9% loss rate of Nu Skin's distributors, Jon Taylor visited a Nu Skin international convention. His wry observations were then recorded in the piece, "NU SKIN’S NUMBERS MAY BE NAUGHTY, BUT WHO CARES?"    (The "numbers" refer to the abysmal odds of success. See "Which Does the Greater Harm?" above.)

3. You may also find it amusing to read "NUSKIN ATTEMPTS TO DISCREDIT ITS WHISTLEBLOWER", which includes the story of Dr. Taylor's rigorous one-year test of the Nu Skin program before reporting his experiences.

4. Want to test the legal waters for fun and profit? Read "HOW TO START A PYRAMID SCHEME THAT IS VERY PROFITABLE FOR THE FOUNDERS – AND GET AWAY WITH IT!"

5. Print and Use "Conversation Cards" to Amuse 5 People, Ask Them Each to Amuse 5 More, and They Each 5 More, etc.

When someone attempts to recruit you or those you care about, refer each of them to this site and to other recommended links. Aggressively promote an endless chain of amusement and truth-telling – as opposed to an MLM's endless chain of recruitment for gain. You can print copies of humorous ANSWER CARDS  (Actions You Can Take – #9) to distribute when people attempt to recruit you into any endless chain "recruiting MLM" program – or whenever the topic comes up.

PLEASE HELP!  I believe this site presents information about MLM/network marketing that is as close to the truth as can be found. It can save you much time, money, and grief, as it has done for many others. And since law enforcement has essentially looked the other way on this type of consumer abuse, it is left to informed consumers to inform and warn their friends and relatives about the potential losses they could suffer from participation in a “recruiting MLM.” So please print and distribute at least 5 copies of the answer cards to those you care about – and ask each of them to share answer cards with 5 people, and each of them with 5 more, etc., etc.  . . .  In this way, you can influence many people for good – through an endless chain of truth-telling.  Click here to see these handy answer cards (4 to choose from) that you can print and distribute now –  as well as carry with you for those awkward moments when you are recruited by a well-meaning friend or relative. For more information, click on the appropriate links above.

6. View some GREAT CARTOONS BY CAL GRONDAHL from Dr. Taylor's book The Network Marketing Game: Gospel Perspectives on Multi-level Marketing. Though the book carries a serious message about the ethics of network marketing, the cartoons will have you laughing heartily at the phenomenon of multi-level recruitment.

7. To illustrate how ludicrous is the claim that MLM is merely another form of direct selling, see the box below. For comparisons between legitimate direct sales opportunities and MLM, go to MLM, Direct Sales, and the DSA.

A is not a , no matter how much is spent  positioning the as  a !

8. You'll love MLM PIT OF HELL, a little satire by show host Rob McNealy

9. In the same vein (as # 8), the cartoon below was created by Kristopher Taylor, son of Dr. Taylor, at the age of 15.
